No, sparklers are not allowed on planes according to the FAA. As such, we cannot ship outside of the lower 48 United States.
The National Council on Fireworks safety has a great dialog promoting sparkler and firework safety here. We urge everyone to review this document as it has some great guidelines and tips. Here are some tips specifically for sendoffs:
- Try to make your aisle as wide as possible. We recommend 12 feet.
- Keep water buckets around for the finished sparklers as sparklers stay hot for a while.
- Make sure your venue is ok with sparklers. Most indoor venues are not.
- We don’t recommend sparklers for kids however sparklers require adult supervision at all times!
We hope that you have a safe and fun event and remember please use caution and safety.
Yes. We stress safety using all fireworks. The industry has made great strides to reduce the number of injuries each year which is good for everyone. A few recommendations:
- Make sure your venue allows sparklers!
- Rehearse the sparklers.
- Keep a few 5 gallon buckets of water to place the sparklers in after they are used.
- Make sure your photographer has some experience photoing sparklers.
We reserve the right to cancel any order at any time. If that happens a reason will be stated and your payment will be promptly refunded. Please see our terms and conditions for details.
We charge a 20% restocking fee for all unopened products. We cannot accept returns after 45 days of purchase.
The small sparklers can be lit with a regular Bic style lighter or matches with patience. For the large sparklers we recommend to use a large grill style lighter or a propane torch.
There are 4 states that ban sparkler use. They are New York, New Jersey, Delaware, and Massachusetts. Some local communities may ban or regulate the use of sparklers. We do not track laws so it is up to you to decide if sparklers are legal in your community. Please make sure you are aware of local laws as we are not liable for sparkler use! Also, sparklers are not allowed on planes, ever and because of this we also can’t ship to Hawaii and Alaska. WeddingSparklersUSA.com LLC or its members cannot be held liable for any use of products without our direct supervision.
We use $12 flat rate shipping because that about how much 1 box costs to ship on average. Sparklers are not allowed on planes and as such we only use UPS ground shipments for the Continental United States. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or international. All shipments are Carbon Neutral! We reuse and recycle as much as possible, so don’t be surprised to see old newspaper clippings or random styrofoam pieces as shipping filler.
Most of the time, if we receive your order by 5pm central we will ship the sparklers out the same day, providing they are paid for of course. There are sometimes exceptions so feel free to use our contact us page to confirm exact shipping time and ETA. UPS ground takes between 2 – 6 days however they seem to be able to ship them in 3 days or less. Below is our estimated shipping times by UPS and are subject to UPS estimates as of Oct 2013.
